Have RCA HDTV 52 next to blue shadow and auto convergence will not fix it. Can I fix it?
Answers: (Sigh) unfortunately not.....
The problem next to RCA TVs is that they don't use the "ever so popular" Convergence amps....they use transistors in a Push-Push configuration. When one transistor blows, it can bear out several transistors and resistors together...and if you miss one bad member, it'll smoke the NEW parts real immediate....
And then you enjoy to start over....
This is really something that a TV Tech should work on.
And believe me, I hate working on them too....
Have you tried the almanac convergence adjustment yet? Sometimes, tube TV sets and computer monitors (projection and direct view) newly lose their calibration for auto-convergence, and you have to do it by paw.
