HD DVD on my LCD?
I'm pretty sure that it is, sadly, NOT 1080p resolution. I'm pretty sure that it's contained by fact with the sole purpose (1366 x 768p Resolution), thats my best guess... and I got that past its sell-by date of the website for the model I THINK is mine...
So here's my question... does that penny-pinching that the best resolution I'll get on my TV is 768p? I tight-fisted... if I bought an HD DVD player (or blu-ray) whould it be pointless... or would I see a difference?
Should I cry because I don't have 1080p, or even 1080i ? (If contained by fact I dont... I'm such an HD noob) Or will I still see a nice difference from regular hoary TV to my 768p, if I get an HD source... such as HD DVD or Blu Ray?
As you can put in the picture... I need alot of info... can I not win a 1080i or p source at all? Would It work? Would I see a difference? Should I turn out and buy HD disk player? Or a new better TV?
AGH! :)
Answers: Well, if you like your picture with HD up to that time you will love your picture now. Your TV will look it's best when connected to an HD source, especially an HD disk approaching BD or HD DVD so go ahead and obtain one(I vote for BD). Because it came out closing year it is a toss up as to if your TV will accept a 1080P signal (which is different from showing a 1080P image). If it does it will mount the image down to 768P. If not you will own to set the output on the BD player to 720P or 1080i. I would try both for awhile to see which your TV does a better job next to. I wouldn't replace your TV unless you have another use for the TV resembling a bedroom or something.
At 42" the differences between 768P and 1080P are hard to see. Especially if you are not really close.
are you thinking you can convert the the optical if you buy a dvd well i doubt this would engender a differance. don't be hard on yourself tecnology is moving faster than we corner on.live thru the 768p for awhile don't move into anything yet. so i'd utter it would be pointless to buy a blu ray etc. they haven't proved anything almost these yet.
