My PS3 is solely outputting 480i but I chew over it should be high. Perhaps it's my HDTV or cable?

Here is a link to my TV, it's a 2001 Pioneer Elite. http://www.supremevideo.com:80/televisio...

It's not HDMI and I've connected the PS3 to my TV via the component cable it came beside (red, white and yellow one's). It with the sole purpose lets me select Standard NTSC, nil higher for video output.

Can someone bear a look at the link of my TV and guide me? Someone thought I should know how to get 720p, but I can't seem to be to figure out how. If you want clarification, please ask and I'll do my best to give you the info you entail.

Thanks!!

Answers:    The problem you're having is near your cables. From your description you are using a composite cable, (Left Right audio and video), which lone supports SD or 480.
You will need to purchase any component, RGB, which supports up to 1080i; or
HDMI which will support 1080p.
In addition contained by the settings of the PS3 you need to select the type cable you've connected.
480i is the top resolution that the standard cable with the PS3 can produce. You will entail to buy a HDMI cable to get 720p/1080i. From what I can see your TV should hold 2 HDMI ports but i would check before going out and buying one.
