The center of my TV is blacked out, what can i do to fix it?
Answers: See if you're surrounded by "text mode". Use the remote, stir through the on-screen menus until you find something about "deed mode", or equivilent. Different brands may call it a different heading. It probably got switched to "course book mode" inadvertantly by someone that didn't know what they were doing, or accidentially.
It sounds approaching your TV is on the way out the door. You are probably better sour just purchasing another one. I only just picked up a nice Samsung set from digitaldealz.net.
It is the LN-T4665F, this TV is so nice. It is set surrounded by the grand piano black, and believe it or not, it even looks suitable off. It's awesome.
I get mine from digitaldealz for about $2000 w/ free shipping, which is an awesome concord considering I was going to buy from Sears for $2700 w/o conferral and have to reimburse tax. With digitaldealz.lattice, shipping was free, and no import tax as I don't live where they are located. Awesome treaty.
Here is a link to the TV I bought:

LOOK on your remote control for a button labled <CC>
Press it again and again until the word OFF appears...
You presently hold your Closed Captioning <CC> activated and it's contained by TEXT mode...
That's what creates that black box.....
