How do you know if your TV is digital or analog?

i heard it's better to procure a digital TV for 2009 but how can you tell if your TV is digital or analog?

also, are adjectives the "HD" and "HD ready" TVs considered as digital whether they are plasma or LCD?

Answers:    Well you got some choices within:

1. analog sets are CRT and some LCD that were sold prior years are still consider analog if they didn't come next to ATSC tuner which would be considered Digital.

2. If you have such a set you can gain a converter to watch ATSC on your NTSC analog set.

3. You could presently buy a HD set with ATSC digital tuner which still can pickup NTSC analog signal still.

4. HD Ready method it needs a HD digital tuner converter still as the set can't do it on it's own and doesn't own ATSC digital tuner only NTSC analog tuner.

Plasma uses gas to display the image on the blind it also looks like your ripened CRT but its flat and thin and weights smaller amount. Plasma does have it shares of problems, they do win very hot, they own burnt within problem (some say you don't hold to worry roughly that) but I still do.. If you creak the panel glass afterwards you out of luck. The prices of them have come down and will until the Laser TV comes out soon

Laser TV uses a laser spine and the colors you see from day one will other look like consequently did after years of usage. Unlike LCD and Plasma will fade in the years of usage.

There is also LED LCD which give you a very shiny surface of late like a Plasma. Higher Constrast than Standard LCD.

I use LCD near Clear Pixel Engine that really does improve the Picture Quality. You find this factor on Funai HDTV. http://www.funai-corp.com to learn which sets enjoy this feature.
i assume for sure that hdtv is already a digital tv, adjectives hdtv contain digital and analog signal

all plasma and lcd tv are dignified def

if u have rogers digital cable, adjectives u need is take a hdtv
Depends on where you live and how you connect your TV to the services that are available.

For free over the heavens television by antenna see this article to determine when you inevitability a digital TV and what the transmission SYSTEM is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_ter...

The SYSTEM determines what type of tuner you call for to pick up digital over the air beside an antenna. So if the SYSTEM is ATSC as it is in the US you call for an ATSC tuner to pick it up. If the SYSTEM is DVB-T as it is in the UK you necessitate a DVD-T tuner which they call Freeview.

Analog TV within the US is NTSC, in the UK is PAL, and contained by most other countries is either of the two or SECAM.

TVs which are sold within the US are required to carry NTSC and ATSC tuners or display a instructive label motto they are only compliant next to NTSC analog TV and will need a converter box after the transition to digital. TV sets manufactured after March 1, 2007 must be digital organized which makes them in place for HD unless they are not really TV sets but just monitors (as contained by no tuner included).

Cable and Satellite viewers already have a form of digital conversion contained by their cable and satellite boxes. What might change contained by their digital conversion which happens within the US in February 2012 is that they may no longer contribute boxes that work on channel 3 or 4 analog lacking a converter. So you may have to enjoy video composite input and audio inputs to hook it up or use a RF modulator that converts the signal to an analog channel. If they choose to craft their boxes compatible with digital tuning that conduit 3 output would not work on an analog TV alone. Also cable might drop all analog channel without a box forcing you to achieve a box for all your TV sets not newly the ones you want premium channels on. If those channel suddenly become digital then the digital sets will be the ones who can tune them surrounded by without a box and the non digital sets will stipulation a converter box. Just a guess as only the cable companies know for sure. But the canon basically say they have to maintain compatibility with analog sets (no box) on some channel until 2012.

Not all LCD and Plasma TVs are digital so sort sure you are buying one with the right tuner for your country. Refer to this article again if unsure:
