I am buying a Samsung 32" LCD HDTV and I be wondering if comcast cable box supports the modern HDMI by Samsung?

I live in LA, CA. The model number for the tv is SAM LNT3242H.

Thanks

Answers:    Probably. If your cable co. is using Motorola or Scientific Atlanta set top boxes, most of them will hold an HDMI output so you will just obligation an HDMI cable. If the Set top box is an older model, it may own a DVI output which is the same as HDMI but in need the digital audio. You will have to use a digital audio (SPDIF) type cable for audio along next to a DVI- HDMI cable. The HDMI specs are backwards compatible so whatvever spec the tv and STB have, they will negotiate and will work fine.
