Is it one and only me or do others guess the investigational lcd/plasmas are a step rear legs surrounded by picture feature compared to CRT tv's.

Does anyone in the know, know why this is.

Answers:    CRT, according to almost every A/V publication and enthusiast out at hand is STILL the best picture. Sony banked on that while they be still producing their 40" CRT. Plasma and LCD cannot yet produce the adjectives blacks and vibrant colors that CRT could. One of the technologies one tested is a flat panel with thousands of miniature CRT tubes inside it making the picture. Plasma have came really far and the Pioneer this year have as close to sure black as you will get on a plasma. As for LCD, the bulb have to be so bright to show you a picture that big that you will never see true black on an LCD, ever.
depends, if you have a hd source resembling the sky hd set top box, you will see the difference
