Which flatscreen TV? (plasma, pixels, LCD, HD... facilitate im confused!)?
If anyone has some sort of checklist of what to look for/avoid it would be greatly appreciated! (What I have need of is a Dummies guide to technology! lol)

Answers: Well alot of the features and specifications are just near for tech heads to assume about and for you consumers to shift OH WOW!.
Basics of hunting for a LCD/etc are as follows.
1> dont assume price = better/quality, many lcd's etc price is jacked up by simply how they look and surrounded by some cases by simply 1 Feature which may be new and not standard, but for you that feature may be useless and contained by somecases not function properly either, making the price totally unjustified.
However the cheaper a item is, it process for certain it have either cheap parts or is using technology which is adjectives considered standard and could be very durable, but also possibly very crap.
Ive other prefered items in the middle collection pricing and up, when they start droping below the middle or average price, they normally start going down within quality internally, which is fruitless.
While as they go up towards the maximum price they tend to own alot of new features and hot designs which havent been on the bazaar long enough to see if in attendance are any problems with them, u could be buying 100% competence or crap u dont need or a lemon.
2> brand, does not = part, Every company normally have a quality smooth they maintain and a average price selection, like samsung are usually in the average pen and normally hold products which last, but will singular have a few top scale units and a few crap ones.
Sony tend to have mostly dignified range unit and also tends to enjoy a 30% lemon rate in its products and a 50% rate of usless features, so commonly their unit may be reliable, but the prices uncommonly are justified for your comon consumer, i in general recomend if u buy a SOny, buy something which has be on the market 6months.
Either path their are plenty of brands and u will get a view at the price range they tend to focus on scrolling through their products.
Internally even if they look like on the outside, a simple model change similar to Vx24 to VX 25, may have considerable change inside which u cant see, making the VX25 potentially much better or a lemon compared to its twin the vx24.
The Vx 25 could have fixed problems which existed within the VX24 or it could have added more features(useful or useless), they also could be like except for their "screen size" (size of the eyeshade you can watch a movie on)
3>Picture part = resolutions/pixels etc, yep this is the place the sales relations love to confuse u, as its incredibly easy to enlighten u that more pixels, more resolution = better picture and u NEED that, when u dont always obligation it to be onest.
Facts are humans can only see a faultless quality of portrait and color, the reason pictures and such generall enjoy more resolution etc is because if any zooming contained by or editation is to be done, quality must exist beyond the level the human eye can see. For your average coach potatoe watching a movie, it only wants to be up to the lvl were your eye can no longer notify if its improving within quality. This very well depend on how good your eyesite is :).
Pretend your not surrounded by the TV shop, but at home, stand the ruff distance you would be at home from the TV and the aprox height, later watch the peak, assuming the TV's have something playing on them :).
look at the blind and then other ones contained by the same style, compare the quality and sharpness of the metaphors at the same distances and angle's, find the one's which look to be the best, be u can no longer see any definite improvements, next compare price and compare resolutions if u want. It is highly possible 1 of the tv's is a much high quality Tv eyeshade and price, but ud never have guessed it because your "eye's" cant see it, hence dont catch sucked into specs.
If not all the tv's own something showing, normally duplicate series of a TV will have duplicate screen merits between them, so find 1 which looks identicle to the one your interested in and use it as a hint. ofcoarse they must be the same brand
4>features = sockets/plugs/menu's. Well most things will own a million options for you, but the most key thing to check is that it have the conection you will need when u bear it home.
How many item do you have currently at home that conect to your TV? if your not sure after just pretend u own 3, which is assuming u have similar to a dvd/recorder, game console and possibly another item pluged in + antenna, which should be standard anyways.
Okay so subsequent question is type of conection they use, on standard almost everything uses your standard AV conection, which are wan / red and white, color coded leads, 1 is video and 2 are your audio.
Almost everything uses these. Other conections are as a rule rated at have better picture quality and also can be outstandingly common, but plentifully of older things wont use them. So if u own lots of old crap at home, transport that into factor, when asking what type of conections the Tv has. Also recomend to avoid scart sockets, unless your crap at home uses them.

1> Tv should be a adjectives recognised brand
2> should have min 3 (not including antenna) things u can conect to it on adjectives type conections.
3> default retail price shouldnt be rock bottom, unless its something which have been out on the bazaar 6months + and has have its priced slashed, due to a new model/models individual released.
4> visually the screen characteristic should meet your self-satisfaction at the distance u expect to be viewing it at home.
5>warranty, 1-2 year warranty is good, most things which ending that long last another 2-3 years effortlessly.
6>if possible, look the model/brand of the TV online, see what the reviews say-so, google.com and "brand/model + review" "samsung tmd34 + review".
7> some brands,
Samsung = average/durable with some dignified end unit overall normally a correct buy.
Sony = average to highend /durable, best buys are models which have be out 6months, new ones = rip sour.
Lg = average/durable, similiar to samsung for the most part.
lots more mind u, but u catch the idea, ods are u wil enjoy heared of the "cheap brands" stay clear of them, even if the sales man say otherwise :), even if the screen looks right, if the parts inside cant handle the strain of day after day use and break down easily...after obviously thats why its cheap and should be avoided, specially if the brand enjoy releasing cheap things.
8>plasma's superb units, but enjoy a lifespan they eventually reach, they are expected on evasion to last heaps years, but when the screen starts to degrad, nil can be done about it.
Lcd's, essentially like a plasma, but the peak will last for donkey years, but the internal parts wont and the peak can suffer dead pixels, which results surrounded by white/black dots on your picture, they can occur the 1st time switched on or 10 years latter.
tubed tv's, screen last for 10years+ on average, but board components normaly ending 2-10years.
LCD = best buy all round at the current, closing on average a longtime, screen on average is biddable and on average arent a ripoff.
go to your local comet currys etc and ask for guidance
