Answers: Philips/Samsung/RCA are the top worst brands out there.
If you close to disposable tvs then Philips is for you.
Sony make the most reliable units out here.
Philips is considered low end, the lowest of the low.
Sony is considered High conclude, but the one you have chosen is the lowest comedian of the High end. Which will be alot better than any philips crap out at hand.
For a little bit more you can step up to the S series. Which will own alot better picture.
Yes Sony does use Samsung panels, but its not the panel that are the problem with them. Its the electronics that make a unit reliable, from the power supply to the video/audio processing.
You never budge wrong with Sony products.
