Answers:    There are two types of contrast ratio: static and dynamic.

Static have been the standard for former times 10 years.
Static is the measure of brightness and gloominess simultaneously.

Dynamic has be a new standard for days gone by year.
Dynamic is the measure of brightness and dimness over time. Dynamic is deceiving and not a very upright way to describe the contrast ratio. Dynamic is on average 3 times more than full on/off contrast ratio. Dynamic be invented to deceive the consumer within purchasing an LCD instead of plasma.

2500:1 ~ 800:1
3200:1 ~ 1100:1

Therefore, you want to purchase the TV with 3200:1 contrast ratio. Always spawn sure you are comparing like-specs.
the higher the better. not sure in the order of the dynamic but the contrast ratio of 3200:1 would be the better of the three.
