I bought an Insignia last Christmas. I play a lot of DVD's and they always work fine, but last weekend while watching one it paused and wouldn't continue. I tried a new disc that I've watched before and it came up as "no disc." I've since tried several other DVDs and none of them work anymore. Any hope on fixing this on my own?
Answer:
Take it back to the store where you bought it.it should not be operating in this manner after only 2 1/2 months.
You are more than likely out of luck with the tv. Most tv/dvd combo units are very prone to the dvd portion breaking within first year of use becuase the dvd player cant properly vent the heat and the plastic components tend to melt and deform thus destroying the dvd portion of the unit. The tv should continue to work fine but it would be much more expensive to try to fix than to just get a new one, or a seperate dvd player.
Any hope of fixing?
Not really, manufacture dosnt make much parts for the units because the part will cost half of what you paid for it.
They dont really expect you to get it repaired. GL on finding a , Authorized Repair Center.
