The DLP tv itself have a lifespan of about 80,000 hours. Plasmas do not have need of a bulb replacement and have a lifespan of in the region of 60,000 hours. There is a new DLP presently that is wall mountable. There is a unknown DLP LED that does not require a bulb replacement, but the tv itself only have a lifespan of about 25,000 hours.
DLPs are method cheaper than Plasmas.
