Can A High Def 1080i TV play High Def DVDs ? I be told the TV have to be HD 1080P efficient.?

Answers:    Your TV will display it in 720P. So the answer is yes. Unless your set is exceptionally large, you should procure essentially as good a picture as if you have a 1080P set.
The HD DVD player controls the HD signal and most will output a variety of HD signals starting beside 720i and most probably including a setting for 1080i.
