Answers: I DONT THINK YOU WILL NOTICE THE SLIGHTLY LESS RESOLUTION PICTURE AT LESS THAN 46" OF TELLY EVEN THEN YOU WOULD HAVE TO STUDY AND COMPARE THEM, AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE WITH BLU RAY.THERE IS A GOOD REVIEW COMPARISON ON 720/1080p AT CNET.COM.
Hi Tyler
According to panasonic website its HD geared up, thus if you get a HD dvd player or Blu-Ray and a HDMI front, thats it you can watch within HD!.

hope this helps..
"HD Ready" purely means it does not enjoy a tuner so you cannot simply hook up an antenna. That is the only compromise you enjoy. (Mine is the same way).
That TV is totally compatible next to all HD cable box's, HD sit box's, HD-DVD players and BluRay players.
If you are going BluRay - consider the PS3. In tests, adjectives stand alone players are compared to the PS3 and the PS3 usually comes out with a superior picture. The huge horsepower contained by that box makes a difference.
The difference between hd geared up and full hd normally is within the reselution of the set and its picture quality which way it may have a freeview box built surrounded by but it may not show the format in 1080p but simply in the lower category 720/760 the loss in picture ability is noticable but to most people unless you are a enthusiast the quality will be superior to what you would own veiwed before surrounded by analogue or through older activity systems so unless your going all out for top pockmark picture quality for gaming or movies you should be ok
