Iv see a wharfedale 42" 1080hp all set digital lcd tv?

what does the 1080p mean is that well brought-up,iv looked at other tellys around the same price, and they dont say1080 hd primed,im confused ,i just want a clad telly .lb499.00 should be lb799.00,it allso has a free 3 yr warranty via flier, good buy or not cheers ,

Answers:    The 1080 is the number of lines that makeup the picture for HD tv,non HD TVs single have 625 lines(more lines sharper picture). If you own a ARGOS catalogue HD is explained.
The 1080p is a insinuation to resolution - 1080x1920 pixels (thats the number of boxes in the grid that make up the onscreen picture) is called true High definition.

The other tvs own a lower number of pixels in the grid and the resolution is not as apposite.

The price tag of lb499.00 is virtuous for a 1080, as I would normally expect to rate this for a lower resolution screen.
The 1080p system it has dignified resolution, so that is honourable. The three year warranty is good also. I'm not au fait with the Wharfedale autograph, as I'm here in the colonies. But...if it is just hd ready, instead of already hd expert, that is impossible, as it will take lb200 or so to upgrade. Find one that already have the hd system installed. Good hunting.
