Is there a TV antenna that I can put in my basement ceiling to get local UHF channels? I have one in my attic but the coax cables need to be replaced and I don't want to crawl around up there if I don't have to.
Thank You!
Answer:
With antennas, higher is always better. Unless the stations are really close, you'll likely lose alot of signal in the basement. You will also be likely to get more degradation due to reflections and such. The attic is a much better place.
Put on your knee pads and start crawling
Try a splitter. Radio shack may help
UHF antennas is generally "line of sight" and your basement doesn't qualify for that. Don't be such a candy ***. Just get up in the attic and do what needs to be done and get it over with. You won't regret it.
