Can somebody please make a contribution me a beginners guide to how to fit the back onto a coax cable for my TV appreciation?

Answers:    This was the solitary site I could find with photos. (Ignore the special tool it shows how to prepare the cable though).

A ready-made cable is better because they hold less signal loss/reflection; a home-made livelihood can result in a poor picture. You should also use a proper crimping tool for impossible to tell apart reason:

However I've made these up beside pliers before and it's be OK so give it a stir!
strip the inner wire 1\2" Then strip insulation individual 1\2" then slide run out on and crimp or screw down depending on type

Be carefull not to lose ground shield or short to center wire
If you enjoy an already fitted end that you can unscrew and look at, I'd do that as trying to describe it similar to this might confuse somewhat!!

Simplest piece to remember is... the core in the middle of the cable have to be slightly longer than the rest of it because it has to fit down the hole contained by the middle of the plug. The rest of it has to be kept clear of the core and touches the outside of the plug when you screw it fund together. See..... it gets confusing.... conceivably I'll wait and read what others utter lol
just uncouple the zipper a press it on hard, i give attention to
Sam (Above) being my partner.. newly joined Y!A.. gratefulness to me.. and I just know he would be answering questions approaching this. I'm trying to coax him into Religion and Spirituality but I think he's for a time nervous, lmao!!

A picture's worth a 1'000 words
Unscrew he plug and first slide the outer shell and the pronged clamp bit onto the cable. It annoying to later find that have been overlooked.
beside a stanley knife or craft spear, carefully strip stale about 1 inch of the outer insulation.
You can afterwards slide back the outer braiding and sqidge and verbs it back on itself eithout maling too much of a lump.
Attack the insulation down to the the inner core, departing a little bit so that the inner and outer cannot touch, or it's a start again career, and if they do touch, the whole show won't work anyway.
Then the fun bit. To do a pro position, you need a soldering iron and aome cable solder. "tin" the endm then poke it up the cessation plug bit, then warmness that bit up and apply more solder down the end. Snip bad any bit of conductor sticking out. Kitchen scissors
Without an iron, you can just put a slight kink surrounded by it, so that it fits snugly on the end.
slide the crimpy ring hindmost up over the outer braid, and sqeeze the prongs together with pliers
The intact show should just later screw back stern together.
As it just signal cable, and not carrying any current, a ****-up will not hurt anything except have to cut the end sour and start again.
What a palaver, but can be done quicker than typing this.
Cheers,
Bob
