I'm trying to decide between a 42" Panasonic Plasma, and a 50" Toshiba DLP Projection.?
Answer:
Well if you play games a lot, and like to pause the game, the Panasonic Plasma is a dangerous investment..you may very well BURN an image into it, and believe me, no matter how hard you try to avoid it..someone will come along and damage it..
I don't want to kick somebody's axx for damaging my TV...
The Toshiba DLP does not have any way of getting a burn on it..
And DLP is razor sharp, and generates more colors than the Plasma can.you want 16 million colors or 64 Million Colors??
I want something that's reliable too.DLP is more reliable.
If it's me I'll go with the plasma. Image burn usually happen in plasma not projection. But I still go with the plasma than the projection.
Why don't you reconsider the LCD flat TV, I know it's more expensive than those two but its worth it.
Have you considered a DLP video projector and screen .If you want the cinema affect at home it's the only way to go .Some systems are cheaper to buy than projection TVs. Granted the quality may fall short a bit but there is nothing to equal the cinema experience even if your room is not very large .A screen and projector is available for any size room.
my brother has a 52in Philips and he plays games on it 24/7 and he dosent have screen burn but he said it will if it has the same pix for like over 3 hrs
