Maxent MX-50X5 HDTV, will this work suitable for me?

Well I have the kismet to pickup a Maxent MX-50X5 50" HD-READY TV for under $500 brand tentative. I was going to procure a FULL HDTV but those are in the $1,500 selection and if I'm going to save $1,000 i'd to some extent do it as long as it won't be a bad TV. Is this a obedient tv? I know you need to grasp a converter to make it full HD, how much are those? Will the picture still look really righteous on this TV?

I'm mostly going to be playing video games and watching regular cable until maybe I move and next get some HD channel, will my xbox 360 look great on this TV compared to a regular TV?

Really overall, i'm looking for a nice big TV that looks better then a regular TV. Thanks guys.

Answers:    This TV have 768 resolution and will handle up to 1080I. As I mull over you realize, to get TV , you'll own to drive it from a cable box, sat box or over the heavens receiver. I'm not sure what you aim by full HD. If you mean 1080P, no it won't do anything better than 720P and it won't knob 1080P. At 50", if you like to sit close when you're playing games, you are goung to see the pixels because it's solely a 768 set. Fir normal TV viewing distances, it should be fine.
yes
