TV Licence?

According to my threatning letter from the TV Licencing authority apart from the obvious things, you need a licence towatch a TV programme for a Computer and a Mobile phone, whats this got to do with them??, you pay for the download it is not a broadcast

Answer:
I am afraid they are right, the BBC get the money from the TV license but even if you never watch any if their channels you still have to pay. There was a test case where a guy refused to pay because he only watched Sky Sports. Guess what, he lost. Wouldn't you just know it.
But it WAS a broadcast. That's the point. You must have a TV licence to view downloads on these devices.
Most new PCs have TV tuners in them anyway.
its bloody ridiculous, but they probably have decided you need a license for it. Money grabbing barstewards
As always they have got us at whatever point. It used to be just that you had a TV or radio. I assume that have some way of tracking who downloaded TV programmes now.
For it to be available on the Web it must have been a 'broadcast' and that status will remain.
You do need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, set-top boxes, video or DVD recorders, computers or mobile phones to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on TV.
