How can i get my panasonic dvd player to work with a 20 yr old sharp linytron tv?
Answer:
I assume you have NO Video input connectors on your 20 year old TV...
Go to Radio Shack, they sell a STEREO Modulator. Get the RCA stereo-video cable, attach it to your modulator and DVD outputs, then attach the RF cable to your TV set..
NOW, when you turn on the DVD player, the modulator Automatically SENSES the DVD signal and Switches automatically..and it puts out the DVD signal on Channel 3 (or 4 if you prefer)
I bought one for one of my customers last year..It was an impressive $35 investment, and we were both THRILLED about the Auto-switching part...
go to walmart by a RF modulator that will do it if your TV does not have a coax cable adapter on it where you can screw a cable into you will also need a adapter to fit on the Flathead screw connection on the back of the TV where you would hook up a antenna
Time for new TV.
You can try connect through AV, if your TV has it.
Sometimes anti copy circuitry in the DVD varies the gain on the vertical sync so the TV makes the image dim.
If your DVD has a round 75 Ohm output you need a transformer to go from 75 Ohm round cable to 300 Ohm flat cable. It is very cheap, probably $3 USD.
If there is no 75 Ohm round output you need a VCR to go between.
To get around the pointless copy protection you use a VCR that has RCA inputs and connect the DVD RCA outputs to this. Then connect the 50 Ohm to 300 Ohm transformer to the TV.
dude get a new tv.
RF adaptor, screws into the cable output on your TV and then you screw the cable wire into the adaptor and connect the adaptor to your VCR.
