Answers: Am with "Goliath." You can't pace a Sony Bravia. They have a couple of 46" LCD offerings for right around, or slithly lower than $2,000 -and- an amazing 46" rear-projection set for about partly that figure. I've have Sony sets for 30+ years and have never have a lemon !!
P.S. I prefer LCD to Plasma for a number of reason.
I just get a Panasonic 50" Plasma 1080. Mainly because it was rate the best HD TV by Consumers' Report they've tested so far.
It costs about $2300.
