a question about the surround speakers. if anyone has looked up the Samsung HT-TQ85 you'll see that the front and back speakers are all tower speakers. Since half of the surround speakers are blocked by your sofa because of height, won't the sound quality be reduced when it hits your ear? Sony has speakers like this too. If I didn't have the sofa that was blocking the bottom half the surround speakers, would it sound the sofa was there, or would it sound even better?
Answer:
PERHAPS IT'S NOT THE SYSTEM FOR YOUR SPACE. SOME PEOPLE HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO PUT SURROUND SPEAKERS FURTHER AWAY THAN OTHERS. TAKE A LOOK AT THE SET-UP MANUAL AND SEE WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT THE SPACE SUGGESTED FOR THE BEST SOUND.
Both make lousy sound systems.
