They are far superior to any LCD or plasma screen that I enjoy yet to see. I am a broadcast vision/video obtain and we all use tube type screen to asses the picture quality up to that time it is broadcast to you. We do use flat screens for some things, but not for the final assessment of a small screen picture. Flat screens basically aren't good plenty yet. Unfortunately within are very few tube screen still being made, essentially purely the professional video ones that can cost thousands of pounds.
It's a million times better. Brighter and sharper picture. Plus, they are light immensity. With the prices falling rapidly, near is no reason to buy a regular SDTV anymore. lcd's are superior. skulk until you see the new tv's, you will be amazed. time to move up to large definition large screen my friend. unfortunately, the show as sos. but the viewing is far better.
I'm no expert on the thing but I think the merely benefit in buying an LCD TV (except for space saving) is if you currently enjoy access to HD programmes or are thinking of buying a Blue Ray or HD-DVD player in the in the neighbourhood future.
