It is a Magnavox 24" TV VCR/DVD combo. Model number MWC24T5B. What happens is this. I turn the TV on, and after a few minutes it shuts bad. There is no tape within, and it will say stop. The VCR door open a little, and it sounds similar to it wants to spit out a cartridge. It then turns past its sell-by date. If I turn it back on, it repeats this process. I tried unplugging the TV for almost a hours of daylight, it will work for awhile but eventually it turns off again. Is in attendance anyway I can open the TV up and disconnect it undamagingly. I've heard that the tuner is within some VCRs in combos. I don't know how true this is, similar to I said I just hear this. Can anyone please help me. Thanks contained by advance. Andrew
Answers: It would be smarter to RE-Time it and check the Cassette within switch and make sure the Tape sensors aren't limp or noisy....
Why disconnect it? It would cost duplicate in labor.
But if you want to, hold the Tv Tech remove the parts and bypass the shutdown circuit....
