Is there any way to connect labtop to HDTV?

My old Sony HDTV has a DVI-D and a component input. Is there a way to hook it up to labtop with monitor out output?

Answer:
You can use a PC to HDTV converter that cost around $180 to get a good hd image from your laptop and you will connect it to the component jacks of your Sony HDTV. You can get a standard PC to TV converter for about $40 that connects using the composite connector of your HDTV but the image will be of standard definition.
