I just not long got a PS3 and am wanting to gain the best picture I can out of it. I do have an HDTV at my house, but I will most possible not be using it for my PS3 using. The TV I will be using it on is a really old Sony TV, I'm not sure of the model, but it's resourcefully over 15 years old. One of the first TVs to hold stereo sound I contemplate. Anyways, I was wondering if this would hold component cable compatability. I'm not sure what the connectors would look like, so I thought possibly someone knew of a similar TV. Also, if elder TVs wouldn't normally enjoy component ports, what cables would I use to draw from the best possible picture out of an old TV?
Answers: Honestly, no it will most feasible not have component, or even s video, you will probably be best beside just your composite cable that come in the box. Or you could other hook it up to the HD lol. But you would be ok on your old sony next to the cables within your ps3 box!
With component cables you enjoy 5 individual cables (blue, green, red, (video) after another red and white (audio). You can check your tv for that, but i'm 100% sure you won't have that fitness.
You're stuck with composite/AIV cable...basic cable (red, white, yellow). Which are the cable that come with the PS3 originally.
Look at the model linked below. If you see the green, red, and blue ports on your TV (back or front), you can use component video.
