Fireplace Damage to HDTV?

I'm thinking of getting an HDTV, most likely a 1080p, but the biggest space of my viewing wall contained by my apartment (and the side the cable hookups on) is above my fireplace. Now, there is probably in the region of a good 6/7-10 foot above the fireplace, but would that still cause break to the TV should a fire be lit?

Thanks in mortgage!

Answers:    The mantle should block the heat pretty well...to label sure, you can place a temperature determine where you want to mount it and fashion sure the temperature doesn't stir over 110° to 120° F....

Then build a fire and test it....
I come up with that it would be too high. You allways would be looking up!
