What is cause my TV to function resembling this?

I have a 55" big eyeshade (HDTV) television. When turned on it is showing the picture and words overlapping respectively other. It is something simple I can adjust, or do I have to phone up a repairman?


Answers:    I had this problem near a rear projection TV . Is that what you own. Under one of the functions you can adjust the alignment. Look in your booklet and see if you can do that. If it is a rear projection, here are the 3 separate projection lights (1 for each primary color) If they adjectives do not project exactly together, this can happen
It may be a progressive scan setting. mine (a Panasonic) did that once and it worked near my progressive scan dvd player but not regular on air or cable reception.
