Set is only 3.5 yrs mature. 46" HDTV. When I turn it on via button or remote, it will stay on for 2-3 seconds, afterwards turn itself off. But after it tries to turn itself back on again...but consequently turns off! It keep doing this?? Can anyone help me earlier I have to spend abundantly of money?!?!?! Thanks!

Answers:    Wil, I took a look at your OVERALL questions and NOTICED you are have problems with your AC POWER LINES too....

You gotta enjoy GOOD power to your TV set for it to function properly....
AND I noticed you get an answer from Reggieman several months ago about POWER PROBLEMS....

A TV set requests Voltage AND CURRENT to work...
If your current is low, it will cause your TV to Turn On, and Turn bad (like when your picture tubes start up!)

NOW...You really NEED to have adjectives your AC Plugs tested with a CURRENT TEST...not freshly a VOLTAGE TEST...

How would I do it? I'd get 6 or 7 --100 WATT Light Bulbs on a MULTISOCKET Lamp and Plug them adjectives into the AC plug the TV uses.....
Or Try 150 Watt bulbs....at least you can use them around the house when you're done conducting tests...
Or call an electrician to nouns test your lines......

Older homes beside 30 + years on the AC plugs are notorious for impossible connections that LIMIT the current !! They get soft, plugs just plug in beside little to no pressure exerted on the prongs....
you put it in the rong socket
my RCA does the differing... when I turn it off for the darkness it turns itself back on going on for 2 or 3 seconds then
I just turn it bad again
sometimes we do this dance for 3 or 4 rounds but I don't know what is wrong next to mine either!
It could be a couple of things, first see of you might own set the TV to go off(Timer) or check to see if the TV nouns vents are blocked contained by any way, this could be a thermo switch shutting rotten your TV.Good Luck
I think I answered a similar request for information earlier on this forum. I don't want to alarm you, but here go: most modern TV's have built-in protection circuits which, when a worryingly abnormal condition exists, will certainly shut down the television within order to prevent even further plunder. This is known within TV repair, of course, as "shutdown mode".

The disappointing news is that any number of conditions can bring a television to jump into this "shutdown mode". TV's, especially the HD and widescreen models so prevalent today, are actually pretty complex appliances and, because of this complexity, narrowing down the exact incentive of the problem can sometimes prove to be difficult, but not necessarily impossible (for example, you can give me a symptom and I can answer beside at least 12 different possible causes).

I know this may not be what you considered necessary to hear, but the complex nature of modern tube units almost requires nouns by a qualified technician to determine the cause of, and corrective helpful for, your TV's shutdown condition. Most people don't even possess the proper equipment for diagnosis and repair, and it's really not that simple.
