Contrast ratio?
The alternative has over twice the contrast but also twice the price so is it worth it?
Answers: If you are going to use it first and foremost for gaming it might be better going for a smaller screen and move about for an i instead of p the reason I say-so that is because the i refresh quicker for action approaching games and sports, so is better for this type of environment.
the contrast ratio is all going on for colour depth how many colours are from the blackest black to the whitest white.
Obviously the difficult the number the more depth.
For good deal try a price comparison site such as pricrunner which allows you to filter to your particular specification.
Remember yes the size is meaningful but then if it get blurry at the height of undertaking then is it really worth it?
Good luck, the above spec though is suitable as if you are going to be using for normal small screen then you want bring the benefit of i as broadcast even sky hd does not broadcast in this and importantly unlikely to do so due to the cost.
The contrast ratio is the difference between the darkest dark and the brightest bright. The greater the ratio the richer the picture will look. Blacks will look really black rather than a sort of grey. Red will look really bright etc. 1500:1 is not hugely high. I enjoy a 32 in Samsung LCD set. the ratio is 8000:1 The picture is superb and it with the sole purpose cost lb470. Have a look at www.digiuk.co.uk. Much cheaper here, would have cost lb650 at Currys.
