In a kitchen what can slow clocks and effect the picture of an analogue tv?

My tv is dying (its less than 3 years old) and just now i've had to buy a unusual clock that has stopped, as did the previous one which be less than a year elderly. I think its something my neighbour have in her kitchen that may be giving rotten some sort of magnetic paddock. Any idea what it could be?

Answers:    too oodles things plugged in at once.... basically unplug a couple things... see what happens... oh and if you run a blender or a mixer article, sometimes it screws up the tv...
I hold no idea... call for ghost busters! (giggle)
