HDTV or Monitor for on-set previewing?

I'm an independant movie-maker and I'm hoping to move from DV recording to HDV. I would resembling to get a system on set to preview footage I've shot but I'm not sure what to attain. Should I get a video monitor or would a full HD tv (1920x1080) show impossible to tell apart type of picture? I'm looking to shoot in 1080i (or p, not sure what's better), so what will furnish me the most accurate playback?

Answers:    1080p is better than 1080i, but rarely exists surrounded by the world of HDTV, both in regard to capture and display. Even commercially-filmed movies occasionally capture surrounded by 1080p. It's not necessary, and you can't afford it anyway.

You will unambiguously require a display that can show 1080i resolution. I recommend LCD as it will be better for outside daylight viewing. It will need to be widescreen. And preferably hold a native resolution of 1920x1080. Given those requirements, you won't imagined find a display that is smaller than 37 inches, as that seem to be the minimum size for LCDs with a 1080i aboriginal resolution.
