Answers: HD will only work if you input from a HD source..
currently, just SkyHD and Virgin Broadband are available as HD. they are trialling HD on Freeview, but most likely you would entail another set top box, as current IDTV (freeview built it) are not Freeview HD compatible.
However, the PS3 and Xbox360 are HD capable, so will look much better on a HD tv set...
Also, some DVD players will upscale to close to HD quality, and in that are also Bluray and HDDVD player for true HD perfomance.
There is no diffrence,just some shops speak about you the tv is ok to take the hd signal,duplicate as hd.Only sky has hd-tv worth watching at the moment,i dont meditate its all that.Anyway it is 300 quid for a hd set top box,an extra 10 quid on your already 40 quid subscription to adjectives the channels,and u grasp sky one,discovery,some footie,2 movie channels,thats something like it,cronic.Cable do a box but have one and only got hd from the bbc broadcasting,and some ppv movies.....Crap
