What are good ways to use a HDTV?
Answer:
Well, FIRST THING.get upgraded to HD whether it's CABLE or.Satellite.
For Satellite, you'll have to switch to the competition IF you don't want to pay $200 for the HD converter...that's what DISH wants from me.
I'm waiting for Verizon TV to go active in Fort Wayne.I can't wait.
NEXT..get yourself the HD-DVD player.SPECIFICALLY the Toshiba HDA2.that's not only HD, but it really makes all your OLD DVDs super-duper SHARP!!
Ok...I don't say Super-duper for anything.Only for the best.
NOW that's the basics.when you're ready, hook up the Cable/DVD boxes using Optical Audio Cable to a nice AMP like Onkyo or Yamaha or Pioneer and get a nice Dolby Speaker Kit.that will top off your Home theater system.
Do it in this order, and you'll be sitting pretty...
Hook it up to a Blue ray DVD player. Make sure that you have HD service also. All of your local channels should come in HD if you have some sort of HD antanae and/or your tv has an HD converter built in. And don't get verizon fios, first of all, Directv offers more stuff like sports packages in Hd and by the end of this year, directv will have 3 times as many hd channels as fios. Whatever you do, don't get dish. They don't have **** fo HD
You can use it like the other guy wrote.
Or you can do noble thing like donate it to the orphanage.
