TV REPAIR EXPERTS: coolant on circuit board... can i reclaim the tv?
Answers: <<DON'T>> power up the TV set !! If you do, afterwards you'll damage the circuits !!
Use a toothbrush and some ALCOHOL to verbs up the coolant...OR Windex!
Coolant has a disposition to STAY on the boards and I have individual found Alcohol OR Windex to break up the coolant to the point it actually comes completely OFF the board.....
Coolant is BOTH conductive AND CORROSIVE !
That's why you ABSOLUTELY remove it adjectives....otherwise you'll end up beside ROTTED copper foils and corrosion UNDER your integrated circuits (ICs)...
Now if you got some UNDER any of the ICs you WANT a TV TECH to fix this problem....The faster, the better. Corrosion wait for NO man....
I got a short time SECRET about dealing beside ICs and Coolant...and it's MY little secret that NOBODY get!
It's FASTER and BETTER than removing the ICs and washing UNDER them !
And you requirement the "magic Tool" that I hold....and MOST people wouldn't know how to do it if I Told them how....
Now a close FRIEND that's a TECH resembling Craig or Ed....I'd tell them my MAGIC contraption, because I would TRUST them to do it correctly....
Sure, its a pain contained by the *** but, all you own to do is remove the whole board that it spilled on, and receive some electro wash cleaner degreaser and spray that pupppy down, use in the order of 2 cans.
If you hold no experience in this procedure at adjectives, you f'ed it up already.
You prolly have a Philips/ Magnavox and or Samsung.
