How to seize over-the-air HD local channel?

I have a Samsung HLT5076S 1080p DLP HDTV. It supposedly have a NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner built in, but I can't integer out how to get these broadcasts. I'm try over-the-air and not cable. Antennaweb say one of the channels is "25.1". I can't brand name periods or anything when typing contained by channels, as far as I know. This is a strange TV so it should.

I get DishNetwork and I receive local channel, but they aren't in HD however. The local channels look the worst on the TV, and I want a righteous signal for the NFL playoffs/Superbowl. Any suggestions? Any Samsung users go through this?

Answers:    First-you own to get an antenna hooked-up to the coaxial input of your TV. Then you should know how to run the TV's autoscan to find the channels. How perfect an antenna you need depends on how far away you are from the antennas.
As far as programming 25.1 is concerned, not adjectives TVs use the "." method. My remote has a "."; but some TVs bid 25.1, 25-1. There could be other variants out here. If you can get the autoscan to find channel, that's the first step.
In suggest you go to Radio shack and find out what big-hearted of antennas work in your nouns and where to point it.
You necessitate an HD antenna to get OTA HD broadcast channel.

Once connected to your TV, do a channel scan - and your TV will scan adjectives the available HD channels and standard or regular channel in your nouns.

Wal-mart sells cheap HD antennas.
Your on the right track. There are two types of coaxial signals. Cable is used for satellite and cable. Air is used for free over the heavens broadcasts. Since you have Dish that finances your TV is currently set to cable. You will have to shift to your TV's menu and swith the channel input to AIR. You will also hold to unscrew the coaxial from the satellite box to the TV and screw in the coaxial from your antenna. Now you simply use the remote that come with the TV not the satellite which will allow you to input dots, i.e. 25.1.
