I cogitate my tv is nearly to die, CRT widescreen sony.. is it?

I think my tv is give or take a few to die, CRT widescreen sony.. is it..
well its almost 8-9 years old, 28" and a moment ago this morning
its began to "flicker"
I am sure the gun is something like to give up.
Basocilly nearby are frequent but intermittant flashes of purple and green "like" squares and rectangles, in certainty I am so sure its gonna break that I nearly didn't ask the question but if someone know something to the contrary I'd like to hear it...

Answers:    It's more predictable going to be a signal issue than a TV issue. Check your connections on any coax lines, just to engineer sure everything's nice and tight. If the issue persists, hail as your cable or satellite provider and tell them you're have digital TV reception problems; they'll have a tech come out. I'm not sure next to satellite, but cable doesn't charge for trouble calls.
Time to progress LCD miladdo.
