Right presently the highest resolution that regular HD cable or satellite TV is solitary 1080i. In the future somethings will start ti stir towards 1080p. I have a 1080p Sharp Aquos LCD. After looking at adjectives the TV's in the store this tv seem to look better compared to the other ones. If you go for the highly developed end tv eventually technology will capture up to and you won't have to upgrade it.
