Standard definition programming on HDTV looks coarse and blurry.?
Answers: Well NO....
That's the problem with Low Definition TV signals...they are WAY LOW definition !
It's a signal developed 50 years ago for Black and White TV...
With Color added on to it...
And Stereo nouns added later...
And for TV sets that maxxed out at 25 inches...
We've come a long track from that STANDARD...
And that's why HDTV was developed.
To provide you the best picture with TODAY'S standards.
But nobody is going to basically throw away 50 years of Classic TV shows...so they made it compatible with Low Def shows.
And BOY do you see every flaw....
Unfortunately, you're benign of stuck man! Thats progress. In a few years I think most programming will be contained by HD and it will be the other way around.
Some HDTV's do not reproduce SD programming capably. You didn't say what service is supplying your programming. If it's a sit box or cable box, see if your provider has a box that up converts SD to 1080i or better. It won't be HD but it will clear up the picture. If they don't, at hand are upconverters available on the web.
Thats a moment ago how it is for the time being, we are making a transition from analog to digital HD.
