Can electrical outages affect tvs, and computers? what can they do?

The power in my house keep going on and off. Something is wrong near the electical wiring, but contained by the meantime my tv's (a 57" big screen and a 32" flat screen) are both acting funny. the big blind just clicks stale without consideration and the flat screen have a squiggly line through it. Also my computer won't stay on for longer than a minute. What is wrong next to my stuff?

Answers:    They're experiencing dangerous voltage spikes, I'll wager.
Unplug them untill you've solved your power outage problems!
