Which Rooftop Antenna would be best for my nouns?

We live in a rule nouns without TV service. I checked a websight something like our area and they said I needed a Medium Directional Antenna next to pre-amp. Been looking around for one.. What has be your experience with them and which are easiest to install? Also.. Do I NEED a Pre-amp or one near HDTV specs.. (Not that we have an HDTV but may within the future)

They sell HDTV arranged antennas and if you not going to hook up to the cable or satellite you will need any a HDTV or a converter box by 2009 so you might as well procure there antenna. The site have a link that will recount you the direction of all the stations contained by your area and contribute you suggestion on which antenna.
