What cables do i need to connect my playstation 3,dvd player and sky box to my 42" inch pioneer plasma?
Answer:
first and foremost, make sure that you buy good quailty cables ( as once you have chased them in, it will be a nightmare to update )
ps3 will use a hdmi
dvd will use scart
sky will use scart ( but if you are thinking of updating to sky hd at a later date, put in another hdmi cable )
Good quality cables are monster, qed, cambridge.
hope this helps wg
reed the user manual
To connect you will need to refer to the instruction manual of your TV - DVD and Playstation.
Usually a 3 pin plug sock on wall - scart plugs to connect your dvd to tv or Video S plug and aerial plugs into tv.
But do read the instructions it will tell you all. Good Luck.
I believe all 3 of those use RCA plugs. so it shouldn't be too much trouble. If you have 42in nice tv than you dshould more than enough RCA hook ups in the back to accomadate them and of course the only plug ins I think any one of them will use is you might have to either s-vid or cable-tv connection for the skybox seeing I've never seen on of those (though I'm assuming its satellite or tv signal box of some sort). I would check it out and see.
is your tv hd. if so get hd cable from ps3 to plasma. if it is not then component cable is good. dont use scart it will be a shame to waste a good picture.
the best connections are HDMI then component then s-video then scart then coax
if your dvd player has not got hdmi or component output, then i would get a new player as the screen is too good for scart. if you use component you will need seperate audio cables as component does not carry sound but has excellent picture.
Scart and HDMI.
