What does "High Definition Capable" be going to?

I'm interested in buying an LCD HDTV, but I am finding oodles quirks surrounded by the wording of how these TV's are described. Just what exactly does High Definition Capable, or High Definition Ready mean? Another entity is they are selling combo tuners ATSC/NTSC; will there be any problem using a tuner such as this to pick up over the atmosphere digital signals?

Answers:    HD capable newly means that the TV is competent to display resolutions of 480p on up. Most of the TVs designate HD capable will display 720p up to 1080i or 1080p.

You want a combo tuner if you are using an antenna. NTSC is the current standard North American TV analog broadcast format that will be replaced within 2009 by ATSC, the digital broadcast format.

A TV with ATSC will be capable of receive the new digital signal short a converter box.
IF you want to pick up OVER the AIR signals, you WANT a HD READY TV, not an HD CAPABLE one......

Capable means you obligation a Cable or Satellite box to process the HD signal.....

Presently these TV sets have the HD ATSC tuners surrounded by them, the NTSC tuner is for the OLD TV signals....they include them just to cover their butts.....
