Will there be an international commission that will oversee or even impose on all countries to broadcast HD and get out of analog? The mandate should be just like the one passed on US congress, gradually removing the analog and going HD instead. I'm sure major broadcast companies, studios, and cable companies worldwide are rich enough to start on this. If somebody's broadcasting HD, therefore many people will but more HDTVs. And if more people buys more HDTVs, then prices will definitely go down.
I really want HDTV, but in our country, they don't even talk about it yet.

There will be no World Wide HD Commission because of:
1. All Regions broadcast differently NTSC/ATSC for US, PAL for Japan
2. US HD is the only one that comes in a 16:9 Format while Japan does have HD, only the Lines of Resolution are comparable not the Viewing Ratio
3. Major Networks already Broadcast in HD, in fact DirecTv has a will have 100+ by the end of this year and in San Diego, Ca. News Casts are in HD
4. The US Government didnt mandate a change to HD it mandated a Change to Digital from Analog, this will allow you to view channels "in-between" Channels like 14.0, 14.1, 14.2 alot of Television now have a Dash or a POint on the remote to indicate the fact it can recieve a Digital Signal
5. If you're so worried about Prices Buy a Projection its still HD you just can't hang it on the wall like an LCD or Plasma
