this is kind of out of the ordinary or at least i suggest so. i have an insignia tvdvd20. the tv wont come out of its input modes. usually you hit the input button on the remote and it cycles through input 1-2-3- later tv mode. but the tv just skips it and will just cycle through the inputs.
i tried disconnecting from my stereo and playstation and unplugging the antenna. nothing not that it would enjoy but i tried. also i left the tv unplugged for a couple hours because i hear it resets it but still nothing.
so i'm interested to ideas and suggestions and im hoping that im lately an idiot.

You may have lost your TV stations because you NEED to access the menu, and AUTOPROGRAM your TV tuner....
