Get ps3 coz its a gaming console plus a better blue ray player as compared to the other players out in market.The best part of owning ps3 is that u can update the blue ray player thru firmwares, however that is not possible in other players..Plus u get to play games.
Are you going to play the PS3? If the answer is "yes", then buy the PS3. If you are only buying the PS3 because it is a cheaper BluRay player, then don't. Buy the BluRay DVD player. More features, better quality and more reliable.

the ps3 is way too expensive, and if u want it to play, stick with ps2 for a while and wait for a price drop.
blueray player isnt all that special. i hear that it's not going so well and everyone else is just going to stick with DVD's.
