How to speak about if my HDMI TV input is impossible or the Cable box is desperate?

Is there a diagnostic tool for this?

This alien technology presents a dilema....

Answers:    There is one more changeable: the cable (most likely)

You need another source, which you know works (say a DVD player) and another cable, next you try combinations.
I know nothing nearly your TV input thing, but your cable company should know how to tell you next to a phone call if your box is OK or not. Good luck! Technology is wonderful till it breaks, isn't it?
Hi within,
As someone said before, you necessitate another source with HDMI output to check your TV approaching a DVD player with HDMI technology. If you give a little more detail I could hold suggested something specific.
Have you tried hooking up component or any other video method to check you TV? Please do that and see what happens. If the video is OK for other inputs consequently it is most likely your box to be exact not working right. It could also be you HDMI cable, similar to a broken wire inside. If you enjoy a continuity checker you should be able to question paper you cable. I hope your audio OK because the audio cicuitry is totally seperated from you digital video system.
Good luck!
No diagnostic tool for HDMI...of course you can bring back a DVD player with HDMI output and use that as your tester....

I would suggest calling Cable more or less this....maybe they'll come out and replace the HDMI cable...I get one free from my company.
Contact your cable company for a service call, contained by most areas for a problem like this in attendance would be no charge for the tech to come check it out. The other option would be to whip them both to your local office and replace them surrounded by one stop.
Connect the cable or box to another TV
