What is the difference between 1080i and 1080p on lcd tvs?

Answers:    to the human eye, you will only see a difference on a LCD over 40 inches big. it is not terribly noticeable on smaller screen. when the picture is STRETCHED over 40 inches, then that little "p" will keep hold of the picture smooth and clean. ;-)

Blu-ray discs are true high-def contained by 1080p. for a big screen, you would want a 1080p LCD for the sharpest cleanest picture.
1080i is lower aspect resolution then 1080p. The i stands for interlaced. This mode that every OTHER line of horizontal pixels is re-energized at the same time. The p stands for progressive. This process that EVERY line of horizontal pixels is revitalized simultaneously. 1080p is the BEST resolution possible.
