Phillips 50inch flat blind reverse projection. blurring???

Hey all,

I enjoy model 48UP91, it was given to me by a friend who a moment ago boughtr a plasma.
I noticed that the britghter things are, the more blurred it get. It sometimes looks dull in some places?
Any design what it might be.

I understand it be made in the u.s so im not sure on parts?

Answers:    This particular type of TV from Philips have been agreed to have a problem beside the picture tubes being polluted. This cause degradation and blurring of picture. Any TV servicer can put in the picture you how much they would charge to replace the coolant fluid in the tubes.

Also it could be a setting, formulate sure your contrast and brightness are turned down to around 50%. Those settings are turned up by the factory in writ to make the TV end about partially as long as it should.

I wouldn't bother looking for parts to be honest - this is why he give it to you - rear projection TV's are really the poor man's (no disrespect) big screen and they are really crap.

The picture quality is awful at the best of times - don't bother trying to repair it - the cost of order and fitting the projection equipment outweighs the cost of buying a decent LCD or Plasma
